  • Seamless Offline Functionality: Implemented local data storage with IndexedDB and service workers for background synchronization, ensuring operational continuity in low-network areas.

Solutions implemented

Web Frontend solution

  • Operations Dashboard: Developed an single page, progressive web app using Vue.JS and Django (python) to fullfil the admin and operations needs as in a one stop solution
  • Compact Design System: Made reusable, responsive components that only minimal asserts to reduce the initial page load, and easy to store them for offline scenarios
  • Manifest File: A JSON file that provides metadata about the PWA, including its name, icons, start URL, display mode, and theme color. This enables the “add to home screen” functionality.
  • Service Workers: JavaScript files that run in the background, enabling offline functionality, caching of assets, and push notifications.
  • App-like User Interface: Providing a smooth and intuitive user experience that mimics native mobile applications.
  • Performance Optimization: Fast loading times and efficient resource usage are crucial for PWAs.
  • Security (HTTPS): PWAs must be served over HTTPS to ensure secure communication.

Backend solutions:

  • Data Driven Development: A scalable, reliable database for storing all application data. Well-defined RESTful or GraphQL APIs ensuring seamless communication between the PWA frontend and backend services.
  • Caching Mechanisms: Implementing server-side caching using Redis, in addition to the PWA’s client-side caching to further improve performance.
  • Background Task Processing: Handling asynchronous tasks like route optimization, notification sending, and report generation.
  • Documents Automation: automation script that can downlaod clearance certificate from Gov sites, upload them to our system and distribute them to appropreate ground agent on the fly
